Logging

The Logging view provides the ability to create logs of access point locations whilst you move around (commonly known as war-driving). The main log view allows you to turn logging on or off. If you exit WiFiFoFum whilst logging is on it will be turned off when you restart. However, if you turn logging back on you will be able to resume your previous log from where you left off.
The main Logging view also lists any previous logs you have created. By selecting any log you can view it as a list or in a map (using the tabs at the bottom of the view). While viewing a log, the icon at the top-right can be tapped to send a KMZ log via email, which you can then view in Google Maps or Google Earth. KMZ is just a ZIP compressed version of KML that is more suited to storage and bandwidth constrained mobile devices.
If you are running on a device with multi-tasking enabled, when logging is on, WiFiFoFum will continue to run in the background. It can still be quit though if you run too many other applications. We have tested it along side running TomTom however sometimes when visiting the iPod, WiFiFoFum can be quit, so it is a good idea to switch back to WiFiFoFum every so often if going on a long war drive to confirm it is still logging.
